Today I'm starting my 365 Photos Project, one image, each day. I'm not all that disciplined and I'll probably fail. But thats not going to stop me from at least having a go. I might add that this is also my first and only time at a blog. I don't usually read other blogs but have glimpsed a few.
I read about 365 photos at
Digital Photo School it appears heaps of photographers do this to train their eye and to push their creative minds to find a new and exciting ways to see each and every day.
So over the next 365 days I'm going to post a new photo each day or as near as possible. , I hope that you and I can have an interesting journey around this project. I would be happy to take ideas from interested readers. But for now I'm going to add some images I've taken so far this year.
Todays image comes straight out of the city I love. Melbourne is my home town, I've lived and worked in it, around it and never really been to far from it, I always come back.
Todays photo is a little unexpected because I had absolutely no idea, we would end up there. Flinders is a great little town on the Mornington Peninsula amongst a heap of other small towns overlooking Western Port Bay and you can look across to Phillip Island. Whilst we were there we stopped in at the local for a couple of icy cold beers, and a great little lunch. Anyway I'm pretty happy with my under the pier shot, I know it's a little cliche' but what the hell, I like it.
I knew that Mars was going to be visible this month so I thought I'd take a look. The top of my street seemed like a good place to take this shot from. F/5.6 - 20s exposure. Mars is a tiny orange dot on the far right of image.
Dined at a little Cafe/Tapas Bar in Brunswick Street Fitzroy last night. Food was good enjoyed the spicy flavors. This is a difficult shot to take as the light is very low, I had to resort to using the on board flash but I don't think I blow it out. At F/4.5 1/60s you can see the narrow Depth of Field as the candle flame is just out of focus.
