Kilcunda, Trestle Bridge

Oh my god, I'm so happy with this image. I went down to Philip Island today and came home with this. A little bit of post processing and this is what I ended up with. :-)

Seed Pods

I like to call these little nuts, "Bum Nuts" no prizes for the reasons why.

Beetle Mania

Today's Beetle's bought to you by the letter B. These guy where flying around everywhere today but disappeared just before the rain came. But getting these guys to sit still long enough to take their picture was no mean feat.

Tonight at Camera Club was a night for silhouette's, there was plenty of opportunity for a whole variety of images but I've chosen this one.

Natures Spiral

I just like the shape of this image, very simple. I think it's well composed. It might do with a leaf at the end of the leading line but I like this as it is.

Bee Passionate

Hey it's Spring time hear in Melbourne and the birds and the bees are out and about doing what they do best. I know this image is a bit of a cliché but how can you not enjoy a bee on the wing.

Model Night

Back in September I was at a Model night and this was my favorite shot.

Model Night # 2

Camera club members enjoying a night of learning, here are some of the usual suspect hamming it up. What I like about this image is that it's a behind the scenes shot, something I like to do a lot.

Model Night # 1

A great night of camera club members enjoyed a night of learning.

Lookout

This place was a cool breezy oasis, its no wonder the Aboriginals would camp or rest here during the heat of the day.

Escarpment View

From this place on the escarpment, Namarrgon watches for the first wet season storms.

Aborigine Rock Art # Lighting Man

Namarrgon, lightning man, at Anbangbang gallery. At Nourlangie you can see how local Aboriginal people lived in this area through changing times.

Environmental and social changes are reflected in the rock art and in the ground, where archaeologists have uncovered over 20,000 years of Aboriginal occupation.

This photo is the Namarrgon (Lighting Man) apart of the Aboriginal dreaming. From his place on the escarpment, Namarrgon watches for the first wet season storms.
